Undergraduate Research Fellows Program (URFP):
Administered by the URC, this scholarship in the amount of $2,000 supports students (of any year) already working in a lab for research completed during Winter and Spring quarters.
Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URSP):
This program is also administered by the URC, but is awarded to Juniors and Seniors with a strong commitment to research. The award is in the amount of $3,000 for Juniors and $5,000 for Seniors, with Junior scholars eligible to apply again during senior year.

An intensive national summer program aimed at students with a desire to pursue a career in research (Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.). There are many campuses that host Amgen scholars, and UCLA hosts 20 undergraduates each year (5 of which come from UCLA’s undergraduate population). Students will be paired with a faculty mentor if they are not already conducting research at UCLA. The stipend is $3,600, and also includes on campus housing and some meals.
Integrated and Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research Program (i2URP):
An intensive program formerly known as Howard Hughes (HHURP) open to outstanding UCLA juniors with aspirations to pursue a research career. Students receive personalized training through HHMI faculty through weekly journal clubs and a paid summer research experience. Award total: $11,000 - 13,000
Beckman Scholars Program:
This program is awarded to students majoring in Chemistry, Biochemistry, MIMG, or MCDB in one of 15 laboratories located in these departments (see website). The award totals at $18,200 and is distributed over one academic year and two summers. The program expects the completion of an honors thesis or comprehensive 199 project during participants’ senior year.
